This is where you tell Alfred where to look and what results to return when he's searching your Mac.
Specify the types of items that you want Alfred to search for by ticking the appropriate checkboxes. Out of the box, Alfred will search applications, preference panes, archives, Safari bookmarks and contacts for the cleanest results possible.
You can also set the search scope which limits where Alfred looks within your computer. Add individual paths to widen Alfred's search if your important files and apps are located outside of the usual spots.
Hints and Tips
Want to keep your default search results clean and tidy? Prefix your search term with "find" (to reveal the file in Finder) or "open" (to open the file) instead of adding all file types to your default search. To control the file search scope, see the Features > File Search preferences.

You can exclude your home folder by unchecking the "Include home folder" box below the Search Scope list. As contacts and bookmarks are stored in your home Library folder, these will no longer appear in your results. If you choose to exclude your home folder, we recommend manually adding these subdirectories' paths to the Search Scope.
Hints and Tips
By default, AppleScripts stored in ~/Library/Scripts won't be found as OS X treats this folder as a System File location.
To use these scripts, you can either save them outside of this folder location (and create an alias in ~/Library/Scripts if necessary) or save the scripts as applications in ~/Applications.
